Rev. Chad Clements
ASSOCIATE PASTOR OF CARE AND CONNECTIONS
Email: chad@immanueltruro.org
Chad gave his life to Christ at 26 following an encounter with the Holy Spirit. He grew up outside Charlottetown PEI next to the family farm. He loves coffee, rock n roll, listening to podcasts, reading Star Wars books, loves driving his Dads Harley, following sports and a good nap. His favourite author is Jill Williamson, a Christian fantasy writer.
In 2025, Chad, Sarah an their four children moved to Truro after ministering in Morristown for 14 years. Chad is a 2 time graduate of Acadia Divinity College.
Chad loves to hear of how others are encountering God and desires that each person knows how deeply Gods love and mercy is for them. He believes that the practices of the ancient church are especially relevant today to anchor us deeply in God’s presence.
SERGIO GARRIDO
ASSOCIATE PASTOR OF YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS
Email: sergio@immanueltruro.org
Sergio was born in Guatemala. At the age of 19, he moved to Wolfville, Nova Scotia, where he attended Acadia University to study voice performance and composition. Although he loved the program, having grown up in a family of entrepreneurs, he eventually switched to business and founded a company. Still, he sensed that God might be calling him to something else.
Having grown up in the church, faith had become commonplace for Sergio. But in 2023, Jesus called him out of complacency and into a fuller life of following Him. This led Sergio to serve the church in a greater capacity while also pursuing theological studies.
Full-time ministry was not something Sergio had anticipated or planned for, but in early 2026, he accepted a call to vocational ministry at Immanuel Baptist Church. There, he serves as Pastor of Youth and Young Adults, expectant to see God move in the lives of the next generation.
Andrea Dykeman
Worship Director
Andrea was born in Truro. She worked for many years in a corporate career, but now serves part time at Immanuel while working alongside her husband at their local print and sign business. Genuine musical expression runs deep in her bones.
Volunteering at Immanuel for many years prior, she stepped into the role of Worship Director in 2021.
Andrea loves working with the many volunteers and seeing them use their talents and grow in their giftings to bring glory to God. She loves to see the church respond to the Holy Spirit as they engage in Christ centred worship.
HOLLY OTTERSON
OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Email: office@immanueltruro.org
Holly was born and raised in Truro, Nova Scotia. She is a wife and proud mom of two wonderful children. With a Diploma in Office Administration and a lifetime of experience working with the public in a variety of roles, Holly has always enjoyed helping people, solving problems, and finding ways to make someone’s day a little easier.
Holly began attending Immanuel Baptist Church regularly in January 2025, after her daughter was baptized. Having grown up in the church herself, Holly had slowly drifted away from the faith and community she once knew. Coming to Immanuel brought her back to something she didn’t realize she had been missing—a church family, a sense of belonging, and a renewed relationship with God.
As Immanuel’s Office Administrator, Holly loves being able to serve both the church family and the community. Whether you need a photocopy, have a question, need someone to listen, or maybe just need a hug—Holly is happy to help!
And if you happen to need someone to make fun of Pastor Chad… well, she’s pretty good at that too.
Come on in, say hello, and let Holly help you find your way around Immanuel!
